CTV Announces that Master chef (US) will begin May 20/15

MASTERCHEF (FOX) returns for Season 8, with a special two-hour premiere Wednesday, May 20 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CTV and CTV GO. Season 6 serves up new ingredients, as Christina Tosi (NYC’s Milk Bar) joins the roster of judges alongside chefs Gordon Ramsay and Graham Elliot.

Christina Tosi joins Masterchef, a renowned pastry chef, owner and founder of Milk Bar the New York City-based dessert branch of the Momofuku restaurant group.

English (Scottish born) chef; Gordon Ramsey earned 3 Michellin Star at his "Restaurant Gordon Ramsay" in London, while having many restaurants around the world.  He hols a total of nine Michellin Stars, which is incredible.

Graham Elliot, which is now one of only 15 restaurants in the U.S. to be awarded two Michelin stars.  He has had many shows on TV, and has won many American cooking awards.  He has got the 4 star award from food and Wine magazine. 

Big Brother Canada Season 3 starts March 23

Are you getting ready for Big Brother?  It will start March 23/15 on Global, and Slice.  There is a 3 day reveal on ET Canada starting on March 16!  I can't wait to see the houseguests and the house! 

Houseguests will :
- compete for a grand prize that includes a $25,000 gift card to The Brick, and have the house furnished by them

- have a yet to be disclosed challenge prided by KFC, and will be providing houseguests with their signature chicken.
-  have a themed task and a savoury surprise reward if the houseguests complete the task successfully, provided by Pizza Pizza.

Big Brother Canada premieres on Global on Monday, March 23 at 8pm ET/PT and airs Mondays at 8pm ET/PT, Wednesdays at 9pm ET/PT and Sundays at 7pm ET/PT.

Listener & other news

CTV Announced Aug 6 that it is cancelling the Listener.  They have given us 65 episodes and 5 great seasons.  The last episode is on at  9 PM Aug 18/14.  THE LISTENER has been licensed in over 120 markets - including the U.S. (ION Television), U.K., Italy, Spain, Portugal, Argentina, Mexico, Japan, Korea, Poland, Brazil and Turkey - and is seen in 33 languages worldwide. On average there was 1.1 Million viewers every week on CTV.  I have enjoyed the journey from being a paramedic to a full cop, and solving crime. 

In the final episode, an epic story that has threaded its way through all five seasons comes to a gratifying conclusion as secrets from Toby's (Craig Olejnik) past are finally brought to light. Also Michelle (Lauren Lee Smith), Toby, and Dev (Rainbow Sun Francks) find themselves in the extremely uncomfortable position of investigating their own boss. On clandestine orders from Judge Samuel Griffin (Bruce Gray) and Deputy Commissioner Earl Bamford (Brian Paul) of the IIB, the team must look into Becker's (Anthony Lemke) dealings with Curtis Maynard (Noam Jenkins), a disgraced former cop with connections to drug dealing.

In other news the networks are doing  shows at 2 different times through the season, and giving them 2 night premieres.  It is happening for Big Bang Theory (Mon for 5 weeks), Saving hope, Forever, (2 night premier),   Hope we can keep it straight.  I looked at the CBC website, its hard to navigate, and I will direct you to search cbc.ca for info on shows not shown here.

CTV CTVTWO 2014 Fall Premier Dates

Usually the Canadian Networks have the same premier dates as the original networks, this obviously doesn't include the original Canadian network programming (ie Saving Hope).  The networks are making people think (those that don't have a PVR) watch for changing days and times of several shows, even 2 showings of a program in a week (ie Mysteries of Laura).  It seems Oct 23/14 things are changing for times or days for some programs.

 Lets hope this season is as exciting as it seems!  We don't have to miss Mr. Wonderful and Robert on Dragons Den (CBC) they are doing the Shark Tank.  Dragons Den is getting 2 new dragons vikram vij and michael wekerle; one owns restaurants and a large packaged food business and Michael is a startup angel for many businesses after getting his money form being in the investment community, although he may not seem like it any longer! 

Enter the Clones Season 3 of Orphan Black coming to Space

The Space network has announced it's renewed the award winning clone drama for the 3rd season.  If you haven't seen all of season 2 get caught up by watching online at http://www.space.ca/ , but realize you only have until August 9/14 to watch at your own pace. 

I  am currently watching season 1, still on my PVR,, due to the other half wanting to watch as well.  I love doing the season marathon, but that my just ahve to wait till days off.
